Stores person

Job Summary

An Engineering Stores Person is required by a long-established and respected engineering and manufacturing Company to be responsible for organising the arrival, storage, issue and reporting of material movements into the factory and in and out of stores. The ideal candidate will come from an engineering/manufacturing background with experience.

Minimum Requirements

Successful applicants must be computer literate, have good communication skills, be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are implemented.

Core Responsibilities

  • Co-ordination of all incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Administration of all paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures
  • Maintaining company vehicle checklists
  • Forklift Driving-Maintaining machinery/tools checklists and logs
  • To execute the receiving and dispatching of materials/consumables
  • Prepare, protect and pack consignments for deliveries to customers and/or suppliers, ensuring that the items dispatched will be protected during transit.
  • Maintain effective stock levels
  • Return tools/machinery to suppliers for repair/servicing
  • Maintain records of all equipment/tools removed from and returned to the store

The Package

  • Hourly Rate negotiable depending on experience
  • 4 day working week Mon-Thurs 7am – 5.15pm (39hours)
