We’ve been involved in various scopes of work from The Monifieth Active Travel Route through to the Dighty Bridge.
The project aims to create a continuous off-road route between Dundee and Monifieth.
It’s designed to improve safety and provide a better environment for walking, cycling, and wheeling. The goal is to encourage both locals and visitors to embrace a healthier lifestyle by promoting active travel.
Hundreds of people in Broughty Ferry and Monifieth had their say on draft concept designs for improving the coastal path during a consultation for the Places for Everyone Programme between late 2019 and early 2020. Included in that, were improvements to the beach access, as well as links between the coast and the towns.
Work has been ongoing for months to complete the new walkway and bridge.
The bridge had its very own opening event on the 6th of May where a ribbon cutting ceremony took place.
We are grateful to be a part of this project and contribute to the area in our hometown.
