We have recently finished a project in the Union Square Gardens for Aberdeen Council where we worked with main contractor Balfour Beatty.

The transformation aimed to transform the Victorian Park into a modern and inclusive 21st-century space. Our contributions were an integral part of this £28 million project, and we provided a diverse range of services to ensure its successful completion.

Our scope of works included the creation and installation of bespoke Balustrades and Handrails. We successfully fabricated and installed Aluminium Facade and doors along the arches. These components went through a galvanising and powder coating process, resulting in a visually appealing and vastly durable finish.

The project has given Aberdeen a remarkable transformation, revitalising its charm and creating a fresh new look. It has become a great space for both locals and visitors to enjoy, bringing life to the community.

Union Terrace Gardens regeneration in Aberdeen was a highly complex project. Balfour Beatty were appointed due to their ability to put together a delivery team of artisans, consultants and contractors who would all work collaboratively to join together the various specialist components. METALtech uk were considered early on in the procurement process due both to their ability to deliver on site and to support the design development process of the specialist metalwork. From first contact on the Project METALtech uk displayed a willingness to engage and demonstrated a unique technical expertise in producing a workable solution. This allowed the Consultants design concept to be developed in a fashion which enhanced the original ideas taking them to the next level and delivering a first class product. Some of the technical challenges were considerable but nothing was too much to ask of METALtech uk and their support through the drafting and fabrication process was second to none. Commercially these complex fabrications were produced to budget with little or no variation from the original position. This support and genuine partnering was welcomed throughout the Project from inception to completion. So yet again a fantastic product was delivered, visually stunning and permanent addition to the centre of Aberdeen. Thanks very much to all of the team at METALtech uk, without you this job would not have been the stunning success it is.
